Design Of Civil Foundation

As a part of Plant Engineering and Consultancy Service, ANT undertakes design and detail drawings for the equipment civil foundations and building structures.

Civil Foundations: The equipment and building shed civil foundations are designed taking into consideration: Equipment Load Data both static and dynamic (dead load, live load/vibrations, kinetic forces).

Types of loads: 1) Static load — overall fixed load carried by equipment.

2) Kinetic forces — energy from movement causing shocks and vibrations.

Equipment base including foundation/anchoring bolts and their grouting. Design done as per IS 456-2000 (Plain and Reinforced Concrete). Foundation decisions (isolated vs integrated) based on geotechnical investigation. Geotechnical Investigation Report covering field work, laboratory tests, detailed engineering analysis. Seismic zone category as per IS 1893 (Part I) revised 2016. Wind, rainfall and dust load as per IS 875 (Part 3)-1987. Foundation drawings prepared in AutoCAD including Bar Bending Schedules.Types of equipment foundations: Block-type | Box-type (caisson) | Wall-type | Framed-type | Flexible-typePlant Building Sheds designed based on: Equipment layout, Column-to- column distances, Number and width of bays, EOT crane specifications, Seismic zone, Wind/rainfall/dust load, Type of sheeting and roof monitors.
