AOD furnace is a specialized vessel. Steel after melting in IMF/AF is passed through AOD for the production stainless steel and other specialty alloys, by precisely controlling carbon and alloy element levels through a process of decarburization and refining. 

With the expertise from ANT , the project for installation of AOD equipment in existing steel melt shop has become  most opted solution particularly for alloy steel grades. The AOD process is a secondary steelmaking technique that enhances the quality of steel by controlling its composition.
